Jonathanfry poaches Coutts banker for south west push
Markets
by Annabelle Williams on Nov 12, 2012 at 13:30
Boutique jonathanfry is the latest wealth manager to push into the South West, after poaching a senior private banker from Coutts’ Dorset office.
Henrietta Winstanley, who joins the firm as a private wealth director, will work from her base in Lymington with the aim of extending jonathanfry’s reach along the South Coast.
A number of wealth management firms have sought a foothold in the region over the past few years, seeking to attract retirement money.
Last week, Wealth Manager revealed Rathbone Investment Management is planning to open a Lymington branch before the end of the year, following the hire of two managers from rival Brewin Dolphin, which has a wide network in the region.
Jonathanfry, which has £350 million in assets across its discretionary and cash management services, has been actively working to grow its discretionary business in recent months. Over the summer the firm appointed two senior private wealth directors from Kleinwort Benson and Morgan Stanley.
Winstanley has 20 years’ experience in wealth management, including stints at some of the biggest names in the business. She worked as a fund manager at Kleinwort Benson and as a wealth management associate at Lloyds before joining Coutts in 2010.
