JPM director Elliott departs to launch consultancy
by David Campbell on Aug 21, 2013 at 10:35
JP Morgan director and head market strategist Tom Elliott (pictured) has left the company after almost 20 years, and launched his own consultancy.
Elliott, who could not be contacted at time of going to press, registered the business OpenBlue Limited in early July to what appears to be a residential address, listing himself as sole shareholder and describing it as a consultancy.
The former Wealth Manager columnist spent 18 years with the business, initially with Fleming Asset Management before its purchase by JP Morgan in 2000.
He initially worked as a vice president and strategist in its global asset group, before heading its UK Guide to the Markets programme doing adviser seminars and outreach between 2006 and 2013.
He began his career as a research analyst at Greig Middleton in 1989 and briefly worked as a feature writer for Euromoney Institional Investor in the mid-1990s.
