JPM restructures UK sales team in response to RDR
by David Campbell on Dec 20, 2013 at 10:00
JP Morgan Asset Management has restructured its UK sales force to provide more focus on key clients, recruiting Andy Larkin from Neptune to head its new global strategic relationships team.
Larkin, previously head of strategic relationships at Neptune, will report to head of UK fund sales Jasper Berens (pictured), in one of a series of changes the group said had been made in response to the RDR.
‘The UK fund distribution and fund selection market has undergone significant change following the Retail Distribution Review (RDR),’ said Berens.
‘To meet those changes, this new organisation will better enable our sales teams to focus right across key client channels. Improved alignment with client segments will allow for increased productivity and importantly will ensure our teams have the resources and capacity to deliver our best-in-class product offerings.’
Larkin and his group will focus on building relationships across key client channels, including advisory and discretionary fund panelling, insurance & platforms and wealth managers
Alex Barry, previously head of UK wholesale, will relocate to New York to deal with US clients, while former head of intermediary sales Mike Parsons will head JPM’s new field sales team.
