Jupiter hires Richard Wilson as head of marketing

Jupiter has hired former HSBC and Henderson man Richard Wilson as head of marketing.

Wilson, who joins next month, will have responsibility for the fund group's global marketing strategy. He most recently worked at HSBC Global Asset Management and has previously held similar roles at Henderson Global Investors and New Star.

He also served as chairman on the Investment Management Association's retail marketing group between 2009 and 2010.

Maarten Slendebroek, Jupiter's distribution and strategy director (pictured), said: 'Jupiter has, in recent years, expanded beyond its domestic base to new regions, successfully building client relationships in markets such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore. We are delighted Richard will be spearheading the continued internationalisation and reach of the Jupiter brand.'

Wilson added: 'Jupiter has one of the strongest brand names in the UK asset management industry and I am delighted to be joining the Company as it seeks  to build on that strength  in the UK and internationally.'
