by Elsa Buchanan on Oct 24, 2013 at 14:39
Jupiter Fund Management has appointed Katharine Dryer as product specialist, fixed interest and multi-asset.
Dryer, who will join the fixed interest and multi-asset team led by Miles Geldard, joins from BlackRock where she has carried out similar roles.
Prior to this she held fixed interest roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Deutsche Asset Management.
Stephen Pearson, Jupiter's deputy chief investment officer said in a statement: 'Bringing a person as respected as [Dryer] to Jupiter emphasises our commitment to the multi-asset, fixed interest and convertibles sectors.
'We have strong competencies in these areas and as we expand our client base in the UK and international markets, are seeking to enhance our communications to them. [Dryer]’s experience in this regard will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals. This is a model we will be looking to extend to other teams, where appropriate, as we develop and grow in the future.'
The hire follows recent additions to Jupiter's teams.
Earlier this month Wealth Manager revealed F&C US small cap star Robert Siddles would join to run US small cap portfolios at Jupiter alongside Sebastian Radcliffe and assist on a range of mandates, including the Jupiter North American Income , while our sister publication Citywire Global revealed Dan Carter would take over from Simon Somerville as lead manager of the Jupiter Japan Select .
