Kestrel unveils global multi-asset fund for Ricciardi
by Emma Dunkley on Apr 16, 2012 at 14:18
The launch of the Kestrel Global Portfolio, as first reported by Wealth Manager, sees the fund use the Dynamic Asset Allocation investment process created by Ricciardi around 20 years ago.
The process will enable Ricciardi (pictured) and assistant manager Max Royde to make asset allocation decisions based on relative levels of risk across asset classes on a global basis, with the aim of preserving capital when markets fall and participate when markets rise.
The Ucits IV fund has daily dealing and will use a range of investment vehicles, including bonds, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and direct holdings to gain exposure to a range of asset classes.
The vehicle has been launched with £25 million in assets.
Ricciardi left Iveagh last June, in order to head up the new investment management division of Kestral. The team comprises 11 members, including micro-cap fund specialist Royde.
At Iveagh, Ricciardi managed the Iveagh Wealth Fund as well as the firm’s dynamic risk-rated Core Portfolio funds.
