Killik names four new partners after double exit

Two Killik & Co partners, John McKevitt and James Gatehouse, have stepped down from the company in separate moves.

Gatehouse worked as an investment adviser covering stockbroking, discretionary management, new issues and listings in the company’s Mayfair office.

He had been with the company for 18 years.

McKevitt was senior finance director and had worked at Killik since 2006. He was previously finance and compliance director at broker Selftrade.

‘James Gatehouse and John McKevitt both resigned from Killik & Co and we wish them well,’ said a company spokesperson.

The company has also recently made four senior appointments.

Adrian Taylor, former deputy chief financial officer at Sarasin & Partners, has been made a partner after joining Killik in November.

Julian Chester has also become a partner at the firm. Chester rejoined Killik in September last year after eight years working at UBS and Coutts. He now heads the stockbroker’s Kensington branch.

Toby Scott, who works in asset allocation in the Hampstead office, and compliance officer Penny Rooney were also recently made partners at the firm.

Last year Killik, which is headed by Paul Killik (pictured) partnered with Metro Bank to launch a cash management tool.
