Kleinwort Benson builds up London fund research team

Kleinwort Benson has hired Marcus Blyth as a fund analyst as part of an ongoing drive to build up its London-based fund research team.

He joins from Architas, Axa Wealth’s specialist investment business, where he worked across several sectors including Asia, global and smaller companies.

His appointment comes less than a year after that of quantitative analyst David Goebel, who joined from Charles Stanley in December last year.

Head of fund research Delyth Richards said: ‘We have focused on strengthening the team over the last few years as we look to enhance our offering. Our clients rightly expect rigorous analysis and a disciplined approach to fund selection.

‘We look to hire individuals from a range of backgrounds whose skills complement the existing members of the team, allowing us to drive best performance, selection and monitoring.’

Kleinwort Benson last week also hired Claude Cochin de Billy as co-head and managing director of its private office, which provides tailored investment services, corporate advisory and corporate governance services to family offices.
