L&G IM hires Aberdeen’s Griffiths as head of rates
Markets
by Emma Dunkley on Jul 06, 2011 at 11:40
Legal & General Investment Management has appointed Nick Griffiths as head of global rates, reporting to the firm’s head of fixed income Roger Bartley.
Griffiths, who will join L&G IM in September, is co-head of interest rates and co-head of global portfolios at Aberdeen Asset Management, after joining in early 2009.
Before Aberdeen, Griffiths spent over 11 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he held the role of co-head of the government and agency alpha team.
Bartley said: ‘Nick will be a great asset to LGIM and will develop and diversify our approach to Global Rates strategies. His substantial industry experience and background lends itself well to strengthening our overall fixed income proposition.’
