Legal & General Investments unveils five-strong multi-asset suite
by Sarah Miloudi on Aug 21, 2013 at 10:29
Legal & General Investments (LGI) has launched a five-strong multi-asset funds range, after announcing a drive to gain market share in its latest update to shareholders.
The risk-targeted suite will offer funds diversified by asset class that are also low-cost.
In Legal & General's most recent update to investors, LGI's chief Nigel Wilson (pictured) said the firm was keen to grow its share of the retail funds market, and its new range is geared towards wealth advisers searching to access equities, bonds and direct property, all within a single vehicle matched to clients' appetite for risk.
Simon Pistell, the firm's managing director, said: 'Many UK advisers are looking for low-cost investment solutions that are easy to match to their clients’ risk profile. Risk-targeted multi-asset funds are ideal for this environment.'
Pistell added that each of the L&G Multi Index funds corresponds to a specific risk rating and has been designed to maintain that rating over time.
LGI's strategic investment and risk management team will manage the funds’ asset allocation on an ongoing basis, while ensuring the funds stay within their targeted risk profiles.
