Lombard Odier’s European sales head departs
by Robert St George on Mar 18, 2014 at 15:02
Marius Wuergler, head of European sales at Lombard Odier Investment Managers, has left the business.
Wuergler joined Lombard Odier in 2011 from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, whose Swiss arm he headed.
Wealth Manager understands that he is not leaving to take up another opportunity in the industry, and that his position will not be replaced. Instead, his responsibilities will be assumed within the 20-strong team he managed.
Lombard Odier bolstered this team last year, recruiting fellow Goldman Sachs alumnus Dominick Peasley as head of third-party distribution for the UK and Nordics and Henderson veteran David Morley as head of institutional sales for the UK and Nordics, both of whom reported to Wuergler.
Over the past five years, assets at Lombard Odier Investment Managers have grown by more than 60% to over £30 billion.
