About Adrian Paterson

After completing a degree in economics and politics from Durham University, Adrian Paterson began his financial career in Paris as a stockbroker at Finacor, a component of the Credit Lyonnais Group. He relocated to Jupiter Asset Management in 1993 where he enjoyed a nine year stint during which time he managed the Jupiter UK Smaller Companies and Jupiter Undervalued Assets funds. A key member of Jupiter’s UK specialist equity team, he controlled both institutional and retail funds. In 2002, Paterson joined Artemis and now takes responsibility for the Artemis UK Growth fund using the group’s Smart GARP system to uncover the best investment opportunities. Paterson is a keen traveller and sportsman who enjoys squash, tennis and golf.
