About Kenneth Nicholson

Kenneth Nicholson was born in Aden in Yemen during the early sixties. He studied at Aberdeen University graduating with a degree in economics & politics. He also holds a postgraduate degree in accountancy as well as the CFA. He has been a fund manager for just under a decade but has been working in the financial services for over 20 years. He started as an equity analyst at Aegon Asset Management before taking various sales and marketing roles at Aegon, Franklin Templeton and finally Standard Life Investments, where he currently works having taken over as the investment director for smaller companies in 2001. He currently manages the European Smaller Companies Fund using bottom up stock picking as his investment style.
