Botham can also boast an impressive track record in a career that has spanned over 13 years. He describes his investment style as pragmatic with a value bias. Born in 1960 in Riddings, Derbyshire, Botham was educated at the local Ashbourne Grammar School and subsequently gained a BA in History from Birmingham University. He got his first job in 1984 with stockbrokers Henry Cooke Lumsden and spent 11 years with the group before making the switch to Tilney Investment Management. In 2008, Botham moved to Brown Shipley.
