About Richard Penny

Leeds born Richard Penny holds a Masters degree in engineering from Brasenose College Oxford, and is an Associate of the Institute of Investment Management and Research (AIIMR). Richard’s investment career began in 1992, working with Scottish Amicable for four years before moving on to M&G in 1996. He joined his current employer, Legal & General, in 2001. As well as managing the UK Alpha Fund Richard also runs a Legal and General hedge fund. Away from the office his leisure activities include golf and tennis.
