About Richie Freeman

Richie Freeman graduated from Brooklyn College with a BS in accounting and graduated from New York University with a MBA. He started his fund management career in 1983 when he joined Shearson American Express as a manager of an aggressive growth mutual fund. In 1991 he became a portfolio manager for ClearBridge multi cap growth portfolios. Richie’s prior positions include vice president at Chemical Bank and Drexel Burnham Lambert. He is currently a fund manager at Legg Mason where he co-manages the aggressive growth, multi cap growth and All cap growth strategies. Outside of fund management he enjoys baseball and playing golf.
