About Virginie Maisonneuve

Virginie Maisonneuve graduated from Paris Dauphine University with a BA in political economics, and has an MA in Mandarin Chinese from the People’s University (renda), Beijing. She also holds an MBA from the Ecole Superieure Libre des Sciences Commerciales Appliquees (ESLSCA). Virginie started her career in 1986 as a consultant with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in China and in 1987 she joined Martin Currie in Scotland where she managed continental European equity funds. She joined Batterymarch Financial Management in 1990 where she was a fund manager before she moved to State Street Research and Management in 1996 where she was based in San Francisco. Virginie joined Clay Finlay in 1998 where she was co-CIO and a director. She joined Schroders in 2004 where she was head of the global and international equity team based in London and lead portfolio manager for the assets of the investment desk, later joining PIMCO in Janaury 2014 as the head of global equities. Virginie is a CFA Charterholder and has been managing funds for over 23 years. Outside of fund management she enjoys tennis, walking and photography.
