M&G to merge Felton’s UK equity funds

by Emma Dunkley on Jan 15, 2013 at 11:17

M&G to merge Felton’s UK equity funds

M&G Investments is proposing to merge its £550 million UK Growth fund with the £81 million UK Select fund , both run by manager Mike Felton.

The merger, which is set to occur on 15 March subject to shareholder approval, will see two funds with the same investment approach blended together and aligned into a single portfolio.;  M&G said the proposal had been put forward to investors because of the potential for economies of scale.

Over three years to 14 January, the Select fund has returned 24.2% versus the benchmark’s 23.5%.

In the same time period, Felton (pictured) has delivered 26.3% on the Growth fund, against the benchmark’s 23.5%.
