Mark Atherton joins Albert E Sharp from EFG Harris Allday

Former Wealth Manager cover star Mark Atherton has moved from EFG Harris Allday to join Albert E Sharp as a partner.

Atherton (pictured) started his career at Albert E Sharp and is returning to where he said he served ‘his apprenticeship’ after a 28 year career that has also seen him work at both Quilter and Rathbones.

He said: ‘My primary concern was for my clients and my professional intermediary ‘clients’, and this move is indisputably in their interests. 

‘Albert E Sharp have the experience, the expertise and the support infrastructure you would expect from a business highly focused on client and intermediary services and I am very excited about joining a group of like-minded, highly qualified individuals in an environment that is focused on these services.’

Bill Roden, Albert E Sharp’s chief investment officer, said: ‘We are thrilled that Mark has decided to join our team here at Albert E Sharp.  His wide industry experience and particular focus on the IFA market will benefit our service offering and I'm sure help us achieve our progressive growth strategy.’

Albert E Sharp offers model and bespoke portfolio services, predominantly to the IFA market, and has grown its assets under management from £50 million in 2010 to £250 million in 2014.
