by Dylan Lobo on Jun 18, 2012 at 08:23
BlackRock co-head of global emerging markets Daniel Tubbs is joining Mirabaud’s asset management division.
In his new capacity Tubbs will launch a long-only emerging markets Ucits fund for Mirabud. The fund will be set up in Luxembourg and Tubbs will receive support from a three-strong investment team.
At BlackRock he was responsible for two of the company’s investment funds including the flagship $1.2 billion Global Emerging Markets fund.
Commenting on the move Tubbs said: 'It is the entrepreneurial spirit cultivated by Mirabaud over the past two centuries that attracted me to the company. Its potential, coupled with the desire to build up a market-leading team and products, also convinced me to take on this new challenge, and I am proud to be joining the company.'
