New City hires JP Morgan's Cleland for investment trust role

New City Investment Managers has appointed Craig Cleland as head of corporate development for investment trusts.
Cleland joins the firm from JP Morgan Chase where he served as a managing director and held a string of senior roles with a number of independent investment companies.
In his position at New City, which is part of CQS and home to a host of closed-end funds including the City Natural Resources High Yield Trust, Cleland will be responsible for sales, investor relations, business development, and take charge of corporate relations with the trusts’ boards of directors.
