7IM poaches Thesis Top 30 wealth star

Thesis Asset Management’s young gun Sam Lansdowne has left the firm to join Seven Investment Management (7IM).

Lansdowne (pictured right) has been a regular fixture in the Wealth Manager Top 30 Under 30 and will join 7IM’s relationship management team, focusing his efforts on the South West of England.

George Winters, head of intermediary relationship management at 7IM said Lansdowne’s appointment is a key hire for the business in the South West.

'He has a wealth of experience working with financial planners who we already work with. This appointment was a natural fit for us, and we are thrilled to have Sam on board,' Winters commented.

Lansdowne started his career at Thesis in 2013 focusing on European mobile telecoms analysis. He became an investment manager in 2015 and subsequently took on group-wide portfolio responsibilities at Thesis.

Lansdowne said: 'I am incredibly excited to join 7IM and to start the next chapter of my career as part of its winning team.'

Lansdowne is the second of the Wealth Manager Top 30 Under 30 to leave Thesis in the last year after Gaurav Gupta left the firm to join Punter Southall Investment Consulting in July.
