Adam & Co wealth manager joins high-flying fund boutique

Boutique small cap house Amati Global Investors has hired former Adam & Co hotshot Anna Wilson (née Croze) as a UK fund manager.

She joins the team which includes a number of First State alumni, including founders Paul Jourdan and Douglas Lawson.

Wilson (pictured) previously co-managed Adam’s Worldwide fund, plus the Stewart Ivory Investment Markets fund. She also worked at Threadneedle, where she focused on East Asian markets. Mattioli Woods announced it had bought a stake in the firm last year.

Amati CEO Paul Jourdan said: ‘We are very pleased to be welcoming Anna to the investment team at Amati.  We have known Anna for some time and been impressed with her approach to stock picking, which we believe will fit in very well with the investment philosophy that we cultivated at Amati.

‘Our team-based approach to portfolio management means that we can readily benefit from the additional expertise and analytical capacity that Anna will bring, whilst maintaining the investment process that we have spent many years honing.’

Anna Wilson said: ‘I am delighted to be joining what is an established investment team at Amati. It is a new challenge at a good time and gives me an excellent opportunity to stretch myself for clients in a unique firm.

‘I enjoyed six and a half years at Adam Investments where we delivered excellent growth and performance for clients, and I move on very good terms. The challenges and opportunities facing investors in markets globally right now could hardly be more interesting and I can’t wait to get started.’
