AJ Bell's 10 top selling funds in April

IFA clients of the AJ Bell platform haven't lost faith in the American dream, with a distinctly mid-Atlantic flavour to its top selling funds last month.

US equity may have given up global leadership in recent months but IFA clients of the AJ Bell platform haven't lost faith in the American dream, with a distinct mid-Atlantic flavour to its top selling funds.

UK equity has lost some of its prior appeal however, as a bounce in the pound discouraged sterling tourists who were previously eager to snap up bargains.

Head of active funds at AJ Bell Ryan Hughes said: 'It is clear that advisers are favouring overseas markets to the UK which, given the recent slowdown in UK GDP growth, is perhaps unsurprising.

'Perhaps surprisingly the US has three funds in the top ten best sellers, with the potential benefits of Trump’s tax reforms clearly offsetting any fears around rising interest rates and full valuations.'
