Anderson Strathern AM hires former Ignis CFO as finance director

Anderson Strathern Asset Management has hired former Ignis chief financial officer Eamonn Mirner as finance director.

Mirner, was latterly head of fund administration at HSBC and has also previously held senior roles at Standard Life Wealth.

His appointment follows on from the recruitment of former Wealth Manager cover star Harry Morgan as chief investment officer in August.

The company said in his new role Mirner will lead the firm’s targeting of new markets including energy, technology entrepreneurs, law firms and accountancy practices.

Anderson Strathern Asset Management chief executive Alec Stewart (pictured) said: ‘Eamonn has extensive managerial experience and an in-depth understanding of the financial services sector and investment operations.

‘As the success of Anderson Strathern Asset Management grows, Eamonn will play a key part in setting the company’s strategy, underpinning both the operations and finances of the business. I am confident that Eamonn is equipped with the expertise and business acumen required to support us through this period of fast growth.’
