Anderson Strathern Asset Management has bolstered its ranks with the recruitment of a senior investment manager.
Donald Barlow joins the firm’s Edinburgh office, where he will manage private client and institutional portfolios.
Alec Stewart, chief executive of Anderson Strathern Asset Management (pictured), said: ‘As the success of Anderson Strathern Asset Management grows Donald will play a key part in taking investment decisions and handling our client portfolios.
'I am confident that Donald is equipped with the expertise and business acumen required for this highly visible role.’
Barlow joins from an investment writer berth with Standard Life Investments, prior to which he held senior research analyst and investment manager roles at Martin Currie.
In an 18-year industry career he has also been a portfolio analyst with Edinburgh Fund Managers and trainee investment manager at Tilney Investment Management.
The appointment comes a few months on from Anderson Stathern losing chief investment officer Harry Morgan to Tilney Bestinvest after just 13 months with the firm.
