Artemis has appointed former Schroders chief investment officer (CIO) Alan Brown and former Fidelity director Nicky McCabe as non-executive directors.
The firm said the duo will join its management committee ‘in due course’, subject to regulatory approval.
Brown (pictured) spent seven years at Schroders from 2005 to 2012 as CIO after a 10-year spell as group CIO at State Street Global Advisors.
He has over 40 years’ experience in the industry, and since his retirement from Schroders has become a governor of the Wellcome Trust and chairs its investment committee.
Brown will chair Artemis’ management committee.
After an early career at McKinsey, McCabe moved into asset management, first at HSBC and then at Fidelity, where she spent 20 years in operational leadership and board roles, including chief operating officer and head of investment trusts.
As well as joining Artemis’ management committee, she will chair Artemis’ compliance and risk committee.
