Artemis appoints third co-manager on £6.7bn Income fund

Artemis appoints third co-manager on £6.7bn Income fund

Artemis has appointed analyst Nick Shenton as a co-manager on its £6.8 billion Income fund.

Shenton, who has worked alongside incumbents, the AA-rated duo of Adrian Frost (pictured) and Adrian Gosden, since 2012, has been promoted in what the group described as an 'evolutionary' move.

Artemis said veteran investor Frost has no plans to retirement and the appointment is purely recognition of Shenton's input and a reflection of the additional resource the company wants to put behind its flagship fund.

Prior to joining Artemis, spent five years at Polar Capital running a UK equity long/short mandate and prior to that he worked on the UK and pan-European equity desks at F&C Asset Management.

Artemis Income has lagged its peer group slightly over one year, but over three years it is up 61.5% compared to a sector average gain of 57.3%.
