Artemis hires Goldman's Pursglove as head of retail

Artemis Investment Management has hired Richard Pursglove as head of retail, to drive the firm's distribution strategy.

In his new role starting in September, Pursglove will report to the firm's head of asset gathering Dick Turpin.

He joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management where he is head of UK third party distribution.

Prior to this, Pursglove was at Gartmore as head of UK retail, having previously worked at Cazenove.

Turpin said: 'We are delighted that Richard is joining us as a further resource post-RDR.

'He will bring enormous experience, character, drive and determination, along with an energy and distinctive charm that are well recognised in our industry. His contribution will be significant to Artemis continuing to meet our clients’ needs.'
