Ashcourt hires ex-Brewin man to lead adviser push

Former Brewin Dolphin investment manager James Brooks has resurfaced Ashcourt Rowan as business distribution director, overseeing the development of its IFA service.

Brooks had spent nine years in his previous role, having formerly worked as Sipp and offshore manager at Gerrard Investment Management. He stepped down at Brewin Dolphin in February.

Ashcourt chief executive Harry Burnham (pictured) said: ‘James’ appointment further underlines our ability to attract some of the top people in the industry and I am delighted to have him on board.

‘James will take forward key strategic partnerships with Sipp, offshore bond providers and wrap platforms as well as representation on national and regional IFA panels.

‘We aim to provide the highest level of service to our clients and intermediaries, alongside our high-quality research from our central investment team, and James’ appointment is testament to our commitment to maintain and improve these standards.’
