Aviva hires Friends Life CIO for new investment role in Munro's team

Aviva hires Friends Life CIO for new investment role in Munro's team

Aviva Investors has appointed Friends Life Investments chief investment officer Mark Versey (pictured) to the newly created role of director of client solutions.

Versey will be responsible for the development and leadership of the investment solutions team, the company said, and will initially work internally, focussing on investments within the wider Aviva group.

Prior to Friends Life Versey held senior roles at AXA and Morgan Stanley.

Versey will be a key figure in delivering the vision of new Aviva Investors chief executive Euan Munro, who joined the firm from Standard Life Investments at the start of this year.

“I am very pleased to welcome Mark to Aviva Investors and to have attracted someone of his calibre is a very positive sign of the progress we are making as a business,' Munro said in a statement.
