Aviva promotes Lis to chief investment officer

David Lis has been promoted to the role of chief investment officer for equities and multi-asset at Aviva Investors.

Lis was previously head of equities at the group, where he has worked since 1997.

In his new role, Lis will join the Aviva Investors executive committee and report directly to chief executive Euan Munro.

Lis will now oversee more than £68 billion of assets, and has additionally been charged with developing and implementing Aviva Investors’ equities and multi-asset investment strategies.

‘We have a wealth of talented investment professionals at Aviva Investors so I am very pleased to appoint David to this important new role,’ commented Munro (pictured).

‘With a strong track record and a wealth of fund management experience, David’s expertise will be invaluable as we continue to extend our investment capabilities internationally and deliver outcome-oriented solutions.’

Lis will retain his overall responsibility for the equities team at Aviva Investors.
