Barclays Glasgow wealth boss moves south to lead Bournemouth

Barclays has named Craig Jamieson as head of its regional Bournemouth wealth business.  

Jamieson has around 20 years’ experience and has spent seven years at Barclays where he led the Glasgow team.

He will relocated to Bournemouth and oversee the division across Dorset, Solent and Hampshire.

The office will get additional support from Nick Wood, who is joining as a private banker.

Wood joined Barclays in Portsmouth over 30 years ago and worked for the first ten years of his career on the South coast.  Following spells working in Jersey, the Isle of Man and London, he has returned to Bournemouth where he will bring his knowledge of holistic wealth management to working with local clients and entrepreneurs.

Ben Gulliford (pictured), regional director of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in the south said: ‘We are very excited to welcome Craig to the Bournemouth office, where his impressive experience and proven track record will help us to continue supporting the needs of our local clients and providing them with the best service.’;

Jamieson added: ‘With the city [Bournemouth] and surrounding region fast becoming an important business and enterprise hub, I'm looking forward to giving local clients the full breadth of financial solutions from across the bank to help them to grow their own wealth.’
