BlackRock fund launch streak continues

BlackRock has launched the BSF Total Advantage fund continuing a streak which has seen it unveil a number of new strategies over the past three weeks.

The portfolio is the latest addition to the firm’s Factor Based Strategies Group (FBSG) fund range.

Managed by Ked Hogan, head of investments, and Philip Hodges, deputy head of investments for FBSG, the strategy will use a factor-based asset allocation approach.

Allocation will be based on macro and style factors with a tactical overlay which aims to produce a more consistent return stream than a traditional balanced fund.

The fund will be Luxembourg domiciled and registered for sale in the UK.

The ongoing charges figure (OCF) for the fund range from 0.11% to 1.4% across five share classes.

Over the last few weeks, BlackRock launched an emerging markets short duration bond fund, an absolute return global macro opportunities fund and a real asset equities portfolio.
