BlackRock hires HSBC EM bond research head

HSBC's Pablo Goldberg has joined BlackRock to grow its emerging market fixed income business in the US.

Goldberg, who was HSBC's global head of emerging markets research, will be a portfolio manager and senior strategist within BlackRock's EM fixed income business.

Reporting to Sergio Trigo Paz (pictured), Goldberg is based in New York and has been tasked with developing investment strategy and engaging with US clients.BlackRock said the hire demonstrated the group's commitment to grow and invest in its emerging markets business.
