BNY Mellon's Goodsir to head distribution at Skandia

BNY Mellon's Goodsir to head distribution at Skandia

BNY Mellon MD of UK wholesale Scott Goodsir is to head distribution at Skandia.

Goodsir joins his former colleague Paul Feeney (pictured), CEO of Old Mutual Wealth. He will be responsible for the sales and distribution of all Skandia products into the UK, including the platform, protection products, investment solutions and offshore bonds.

Goodsir spent the past 15 years at BNY Mellon, where he had senior roles at BNY Mellon alongside Newton Investment Management and Mellon Global Investments. Skandia said it hoped Goodsir's investment background in the financial adviser market will help Skandia to grow as an investment focused business as it renames to Old Mutual Wealth later this year.

Goodsir will report to Steven Levin, managing director and head of global distribution for Old Mutual Wealth, and is set to join the firm in March.

Levin commented on the hire: 'Attracting someone of Scott’s calibre into the business is a great endorsement of our strategy and ambition. We are focused on growing quickly into one of the leading investment businesses in the market, and Scott’s experience will help us achieve that. He already knows our business and many of our people very well through his role at BNY Mellon and will be a great addition to our team.'
