Bob Diamond spotted in the City

Bob Diamond spotted in the City

The disgraced former Barclays boss Bob Diamond has been spotted in the City.

picture posted on Twitter yesterday morning by 'City Mummy' reveals a suited and booted Diamond showing little humility and about as much regard for the Green Cross Code as his bank did for Libor as he strides confidently through the streets of London.

It's not clear when exactly the shot was taken, but the image sparked speculation that Diamond - who lost his job after Barclays admitted to manipulating Libor last summer – is planning a swift return to the Square Mile.

However, there was little joy at the sighting, with one of City Mummy’s followers cynically saying it was a shame he ‘missed the opportunity to run him over’.

Another quipped that perhaps Diamond has failed to inform the wife he’d been sacked.

Diamond's track record prior the rate-rigging scandal was pretty impressive but you'd be hard pressed to find many who believe he deserves a second chance - the PR agency at the firm he crops up at will certainly have their work cut out.

If Diamond turned up for an interview you at your headquarters, what job would you offer him?
