Brewin Dolphin finance director to exit

Brewin Dolphin finance director to exit

Brewin Dolphin finance director Andrew Westenberger is to leave the business.

In a statement, Brewin said Westenberger would be stepping down on 16 May 'by mutual agreement to pursue other interests'. The wealth firm has begun its search for a successor.

Westenberger (pictured) joined Brewin from Evolution at the start of 2013, replacing Robin Bayford.

His departure is the second high profile exit within Brewin's finance team after Ben Thorpe, who served as head of finance, defected to Brooks Macdonald earlier this year.

Commenting on Westenberger's exit, Brewin chair Simon Miller said: 'I would like to thank Andrew, both personally and on behalf of the board, for his significant contribution to the business over the last five years and wish him well for the future.

'Andrew has been part of a successful management team, which during his time with Brewin Dolphin has seen performance go from strength to strength - with total funds under management, discretionary funds, revenue and profit all rising significantly'.

In a brief trading update accompanying the news, Brewin said it was performing in line with expectations, with continuing growth in income and profitability. The company is scheduled to report its interim results on 16 May.
