Brooks Macdonald Funds hires Scammell for new international role

Brooks Macdonald Funds has hired David Scammell for the newly created role of international business development manager.

Scammell, who will be based in the group’s Mayfair office, joins from Frontier Investment Management and will be tasked with promoting and distributing Brooks’ funds both internationally and in the South West.

At Frontier Scammell was a senior business development manager and he has also previously worked at Friends Provident International, which included several years spent working in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (pictured).

Mark Watson, head of sales for Brooks Macdonald Funds, said: ‘David brings to the role a wealth of international experience as well as excellent relationships with advisers across many of our target markets. We look forward to working with David, whose insights into international markets will be invaluable to the team.’

Scammell added: ‘I believe BMF’s broad investment proposition, excellent client service and highly rated performance add value to clients both here and abroad and I very much looking forward to promoting the team’s wide range of wealth management solutions across multiple jurisdictions.’
