Brooks Macdonald strikes MPS deal with Berkshire IFA

Petrus Financial Services, an independent financial adviser firm based in Berkshire, has partnered Brooks Macdonald Asset Management for its investment portfolios.

Brooks Macdonald will offer Petrus’s clients two investment propositions: the bespoke portfolio service (BPS) and the managed portfolio service (MPS).

The BPS is intended for private clients seeking an investment portfolio personalised according to their own circumstances.

The MPS spans Brooks Macdonald’s range of five actively managed, risk rated and multi-asset portfolios.

Brooks Macdonald will run both services on a discretionary basis, while Petrus will retain responsibility for the suitability of the portfolio.

The BPS will be managed by Brooks Macdonald’s Hampshire office, which is led by John Wallace, while Jonathan Webster-Smith’s (pictured) team will oversee the MPS offering from London.

'We wanted to offer our clients the best of both worlds - a superior investment service combined with fully independent financial planning advice,' commented Petrus managing director Philip Dendy.

Andrew Shepherd, joint managing director of Brooks Macdonald Asset Management, added: 'Petrus have a thorough financial advisory process that feeds into our robust investment process and provides clients with a first rate wealth management solution.'
