C Hoare recruits HSBC Private Bank director

James Munson has joined C Hoare & Co from HSBC Private Bank, where he was a director.

Munson had worked at HSBC since 2000, serving in the UK International team and focusing on non-domiciled ultra high net worth clients.

He has now moved to C Hoare, the independent private bank founded in 1672, as a senior relationship manager.

C Hoare currently holds more than £1.5 billion of investments under discretionary management. It gained corporate financial planner status from the Chartered Institute of Insurance earlier this year.

HSBC Private Bank itself recently bolstered its UK resident non-domiciled client team, hiring two specialists in that area from Credit Suisse, as well as a former Barclays vice president focused on onshore ultra high net worth clients.
