Cazenove Capital has hired Stonehage Fleming Wealth Manager Top 100 star Ahmet Feridun.

Feridun joins as a manager of investment research, reporting to chief investment officer Caspar Rock (pictured). He worked for over 10 years at Stonehage Fleming, most recently as head of manager selection.

‘I am delighted that we have been able to attract an individual of Ahmet’s quality to the business,’ said Rock.

‘We are looking to broaden and deepen our fund research expertise and Ahmet’s knowledge of the high net worth sector and his expertise in managing investment portfolios make him a perfect fit for our team.’

In March, Schroders revealed it paid £72 million to acquire the discretionary wealth management business of C Hoare & Co.

The acquisition, which was announced in October 2016, contributed £2.5 billion in assets under management to Cazenove Capital, the wealth management arm of the business. The deal completed in February 2017.
