Citywire Wealth Manager Conference and Awards: the countdown begins

Citywire Wealth Manager Conference and Awards: the countdown begins

The Citywire Wealth Manager Conference and Awards to be held at the Park Plaza Westminster is rapidly approaching.

On 4 March we will reward the discretionary investment managers who have really delivered on behalf of their clients across the country. What makes these awards different is that we are not simply handing out gongs to those based in London.

To determine the winners, Wealth Manager will leverage intellectual capital from our sister-title New Model Adviser (NMA), which has built great relationships with a wide range of financial advisers, who have become increasingly dependent on discretionary managers for outsourcing services in the brave new regulatory world.

The awards are rooted on the views of these outsourcing NMAs, highlighting those who beat expectations and have built strong relationships in their regions.

We will be shining a light on the best in wealth management in the following regions:

•             The East of England

•             London

•             Scotland and Northern Ireland

•             The North of England

•             The South East

•             Wales and the Midlands

•             The South West

The winners will be announced to more than 200 wealth managers at the event. This will be followed with a special Regional Stars publication, which will appear in New Model Adviser magazine.

Former Olympus boss Michael Woodford will be speaking at the conference, offering a fascinating first-hand insight into how he risked his safety by blowing the whistle at the camera manufacturer.

Ex-Bank of England deputy governor Sir John Gieve will also take to the stage to map the future of British monetary policy ahead of Mark Carney’s arrival as governor.

On top of this Cazenove chief executive Andrew Ross will appear on a panel alongside David Cobb, head of investment management at Smith & Williamson and Brooks Macdonald chief executive Chris Macdonald.
