Cofunds raids AXA Wealth for string of management hires

Cofunds has raided AXA Wealth to poach four managers to strengthen its partnership and platform constancy teams as it moves to unbundled pricing.

Mark Coles, ex-investment development director at Architas has joined Cofunds as its head of business partnerships. He will be responsible for developing and managing Cofunds' key business partnership and key accounts.

Liz Pemberton, former head of business consultancy at AXA Wealth has been appointed as head of regional platform consultancy. She will lead the platform consultancy team and support the growth of Cofunds' clients.

Steve Snell, ex-investment development manager at Architas has been appointed as a strategic partnership manager at Cofunds.

Dan White has also joined Cofunds as a regional platform consultant from AXA Wealth.

Other appointments at Cofunds include Ben Nightingale and Kristian Rapson as key account managers and Phil Hurdman and Nick Casey as strategic partnership managers.

Andy Coleman, director of distribution at Cofunds, said the appointments ensured the company could support clients move to unbundled pricing ahead of April 2016.

'As part of our conversations to help intermediaries plot out a strategy for the migration of all their clients onto explicit pricing, we’re seeing great interest in our self-directed proposition, aimed at enabling advisers to offer an entry level of service to investors starting their wealth accumulation journey,’ he said.

'Over the past year we’ve already helped 300 IFA firms build and develop an online direct service, with assets now standing at £500 million assets under administration. Our strong team will now be able to help even more advisers.'
