Columbia Threadneedle has appointed a BlackRock veteran to head its EMEA client investment solutions.
Lorenzo Garcia spent 12 years at Blackrock latetly as head of EMEA institutional and retail portfolio management, ETF and Index Investments, overseeing 170 portfolios worth around £370 billion in assets.
He also spent nearly six years as BlackRock’s EMEA and APAC multi-asset risk and quantitative analysis team, responsible for the oversight of international multi-asset and client solutions mandates.
He will be based in London working for the firm's global investment team, reporting to Jeff Knight, global head of investment solutions, and Mark Burgess, deputy global chief investment officer.
