Cornelian hires RSM Tenon manager a year after Baker Tilly buy

Cornelian Asset Managers has taken an investment manager from RSM Tenon a year after the firm was bought by Baker Tilly.

Jonathan Horsfield joins the Edinburgh-based boutique as an associate director.

Horsfield worked as a senior investment manager at Baker Tilly Investment Solutions from October 2013 following its acquisition of RSM Tenon, where he had served for more than three years.

In this capacity, he specialised in assessing third party fund managers across all asset classes, contributing to asset allocation decisions for discretionary portfolios and the model portfolio range.

Commenting on the appointment Cornelian chief investment officer and former Wealth Manager cover star Hector Kilpatrick (pictured) said. 'He [Horsfield] is an excellent fit for the role at Cornelian where he will be a key member of the investment team'.

Horsfield will play a key role in the management of Cornelian's risk manage fund range, which are now in their fourth year and have seen assets under management swell to £280 million.
