Duffield reunited with former New Star chief Skinner in retail push

John Duffield's Brompton Asset Management has his hired former colleague Mark Skinner 'to help develop Brompton’s business' in an adviser role.

Skinner was a director of retail fund sales and marketing at New Star, one of the asset management firms set up by Duffield before it imploded and was sold to Henderson Global Investors.

Duffield (pictured) set up Brompton Asset management in 2009 with former employees of New Star and Jupiter Asset Management, which he also founded.

Last week, Wealth Manager revealed Brompton was launching three global funds, bringing its range up to six, after the firm also acquired the WAY group's range of global funds in December.

‘We are very pleased to be working again with Mark having worked with him for a decade at New Star,' Duffield said.

After the sale of New Star to Henderson, Skinner became Henderson’s head of pan-European distribution between 2009 and 2012.
