Duffield’s Brompton hires Stanhope man for new fund research role

Brompton Asset Management (AM) has hired former Stanhope Capital senior director David Hedderwick to the newly created role of head of fund research.

In his new capacity, Hedderwick will work within Brompton’s investment team headed by the firm’s chief investment officer Gillian Lakin.

‘Fund selection is a key element within Brompton’s multi-asset investment process. I am, therefore, pleased David has joined us as we continue to build our multi-asset business,’ said John Duffield (pictured), Brompton’s founder and senior partner.

Hedderwick has 10 years’ industry experience in investment, having started his career with Quilter where he served as an investment adviser.

‘I am delighted to welcome David to Brompton in the newly-created role of head of fund research,’ Lakin said.

‘He brings the knowledge and skill to lead our fund selection process in addition to extensive experience of serving the needs of clients. I am very much looking forward to working
with him.’

Brompton has also hired Lewis Lawrence to join the firm’s fund management team from Neptune Investment Management.

Lawrence started his investment career at Henderson Global Investors, before becoming a private equity infrastructure analyst at Henderson Equity Partners.
