EQ Investors deputy CEO exits

EQ Investors deputy CEO exits

Eric Welsby, deputy chief executive at EQ Investors, has left the firm after two years.

Welsby, who joined soon after the firm was acquired by former Bestinvest chief executive John Spiers (pictured), is leaving to return to Bravura Solutions.

At Bravura he previously worked as a principal consultant for EMEA for four years.

He held similar roles at Bestinvest and FusionExperience after starting his career at Cofunds and M&G where he worked as a project manager and within operations respectively.

Platform technology provider Bravura recently announced an initial public offer to raise AUD$148 million (£92 million).

Bravura declined to comment on the appointment. A spokesperson for EQ said: ‘We wish him all the best for the future and will announce his replacement shortly.’

Since its launch, EQ Investors has been active in recruiting ex-Bestinvest staff and launching a digital service called Simply EQ.
