Square Mile has strenghening its ranks with a double hire from Brewin Dolphin.

Victoria Hasler and Andrew Johnston will join the new consultancy as senior investment research analyst and investment research analyst, respectively.

Hasler will lead fixed income research working alongside Marianne Weller, investment research analyst. Previously,  Hasler headed the fixed income team at Brewin Dolphin from 2010, holding both assistant director and fund analyst roles at the wealth manager.

Prior to that, she had spells at Rothschild as an investment manager and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as an investment analyst.

Johnston had been at Brewin since 2008 as a fund analyst responsible for open and closed-ended coverage of the UK, European, Asian and Japanese regions.

Richard Romer Lee (pictured), Square Mile's  managing director, said in a statement: 'The research team is strengthened by the appointment of Victoria and Andrew, both highly experienced and respected industry analysts.'

Earlier last month, the consultancy poached John Monaghan, who had previously focused on emerging markets equity funds at S&P.
